Conrad Lavoie et Fils Ltée will take care of snow removal in the Rivière-Verte sector starting this winter

During October 17th's municipal council public meeting, the snow removal agreement for Saint-Basile sector, signed with Conrad Lavoie et Fils Ltée, was extended to cover Rivière-Verte sector.

Following the municipal reform, an evaluation of snow removal services options for Rivière-Verte sector was conducted by municipal staff, demonstrated an advantage for the extension of the agreement already in force.

A recommendation was therefore adopted so that local company Conrad Lavoie et Fils Ltée, which has been responsible for snow removal in Saint-Basile sector for several years, extend its route to carry out snow removal in Rivière-Verte sector as well.

“The agreement signed with Conrad Lavoie et Fils Ltée already included an option to extend its route, so it is logical to include Rivière-Verte sector,” explained Mayor Eric Marquis. “The contractor also confirmed that he had the necessary resources to offer this service,” he adds.

The costs of this addition are estimated at $136,545 plus taxes annually, and the funding will come from City of Edmundston's general operating budget.
