Due to major work on the City of Edmundston's drinking water system needed following the violent June 29 storm, water service will be interrupted for part of the day on Monday, July 10, 2023, starting at 8:30 a.m. This interruption will affect a portion of Saint-François Street and Rossignol Road.
Once water service is restored following this interruption, a boil water advisory will be in force until 5 p.m. on Friday, July 14. If the advisory should be maintained beyond July 14, the affected properties will receive an extension notice from the City.
During the boil water advisory, it is essential that all water intended for human consumption, including preparing infant formula and juice, making ice cubes, washing fruits and vegetables, cooking and dental hygiene be boiled for one minute at a high temperature. Unless otherwise advised by the Health Department, water used for other domestic purposes does not need to be boiled.
If you have any questions, please contact the Public Works Department at 506-739-2103.
The City of Edmundston regrets the inconvenience and thanks you for your understanding during this major infrastructure work.
