Detour to be expected on Victoria Street in the morning of Tuesday April 16

The City of Edmundston's Public Works Department would like to advise you that a detour is to be expected on Victoria Street, at the intersection of Acadie Boulevard and Mgr. Numa Pichette Boulevard, between 9 a.m. and noon, on Tuesday April 16, 2024.

Twin Rivers company will cut down about ten trees along Victoria Street. These are poplars which must be removed for safety reasons, to minimize the risk of breakage along this busy route. Some of these trees have wounds at the base of the trunk, some are dead and others are leaning towards the street. It should be noted that the impact on the urban forest canopy will be minimal since this area is located on the edge of a wooded area.

Motorists will have to take a slight detour during this work. To access Wise Powersports and Les Zamibulles daycare centre, they will have to take Mgr-Plourde Avenue and turn on the right.

Please note that this access will be permitted to local traffic only.

We thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
