Outdoor Pool Closure and Sports Pavilion Work Update

The Edmundston Recreation & Sports Department wishes to inform the public that the Lions Park outdoor pool will close its doors as of Monday, September 1^st.

This closure marks the end of the summer aquatic activities season.

We would also like to provide an update regarding the ongoing renovations to the Sports Pavilion indoor pool and the Sports Pavilion gymnasiums:

• Work on the gymnasiums is progressing well and should be completed according to the revised schedule, i.e., the end of September.

• A portion of the sports facilities will remain accessible during the work.

• The indoor pool is scheduled to reopen the weekend of September 20, 2025, allowing indoor aquatic activities to resume in time for the fall.

We thank residents and users for their understanding and patience during this transition period. The indoor pool schedule will be posted in the next few weeks.
