Temporary Martin Street closure due to work on the electrical network

Energy Edmundston wishes to advise the population that over the next two weeks, from May 15th to 26th, NB Power will be carrying out work on Twin Rivers electrical supply line which is located on Martin Street. This work, which will replace certain obsolete structures, will be carried out by East Coast Powerline.

During this work, Martin Street will be completely closed to traffic. However, Notre-Dame School will be accessible at all times and a safety corridor will be provided for students who walk or cycle there.

Here is the work schedule for the next few weeks:

  • Structure 23 to 25: May 16 & 17 (Martin Street area from Boulevard Hébert to Master Corporal Charles (Chuck) Michaud Armoury)
  • Structure 27 to 29: May 18 & 19 (Martin Street area from 37th Avenue to 35th Avenue, as well as St-Georges Avenue intersection)
  • Structure 28 to 30: May 20 & 21 (Martin Street area from 37th Avenue to 35th Avenue)
  • Structure 34 and 35: May 22 & 23 (one lane of Victoria Street will be closed in front of 39th Avenue)

As for Victoria Street, only one lane will be closed to traffic due to the work. Signage will be installed accordingly.

Please note that these dates are subject to change and that traffic control will be provided during the work. We still ask you to exercise caution in this area.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
