In 2021, the City of Edmundston launched the Voyent Alert! warning service, a multi-purpose notification service and additional tool to communicate important information to Edmundston citizens, via email and/or text messaging.
Once registered, subscribers receive notifications for critical events such as fires, floods or severe weather conditions, as well as ad hoc communications such as traffic and public safety advisories, service outages, special collections and community events reminders etc., according to subscribers’ interests.
“In times of crisis, it’s important to have access to reliable, timely and accurate information to ensure the safety of our families and our loved ones,” explains Mychèle Poitras of the City of Edmundston’s Communications Department.
The public can register AT ANY TIME to receive these important notices via the Voyent Alert! service. A FREE, easy-to-use and anonymous service.
