The 25th edition of Pumpkin Day will take place at Place de l’artisan on Sunday, September 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public is invited to come meet the artisans and witness the crowning of the largest pumpkin. Free entry.
Activities
Nearly fifty artisans, producers and mobile kitchens will occupy the kiosks at Place de l’artisan. Apples will be there, as will fall decorations and craft products – a great opportunity to encourage local purchasing. There will be improvisation, various musical entertainment as well as singer Billy Young.
Giant pumpkins
The official weigh-in will be at 2 p.m. Once again this year, the results will be registered with the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth, an international organization that ensures fairness and camaraderie between different competition sites. Interested parties can still enter their pumpkin in the competition by contacting the Edmundston Arts Center at 506-739-2127, no later than Friday, September 22.
Parking
Visitors are invited to use the parking lot at Bill-Turgeon stadium or city hall.
