Rivière-Verte's drinking water reservoir concrete needs maintenance work

The Edmundston Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that a private contractor will be performing concrete maintenance on the drinking water reservoir in the Rivière-Verte sector.

This work requires the reservoir to be emptied beforehand to allow the contractor to perform the maintenance. It will begin on Friday, June 6th and will last one week, if all conditions are favorable.

All municipal reservoirs must be professionally inspected every three years. Following the most recent reservoir inspection, analyses revealed that maintenance of the concrete floor was required.

Please be assured that no water supply interruptions are expected, but a drop in pressure may be observed, especially during peak hours when drinking water consumption is highest.
