Housing: new information sessions for the public

To ensure that the public has access to relevant information, the City of Edmundston is offering a series of information sessions on housing. The first session takes place on Thursday, October 31, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., by videoconference.

It will cover municipal initiatives to speed up housing construction, including incentives, free land, infrastructure work, model building plans, and an update on the next steps. A Q&A session will follow the presentation, which will be given by the City of Edmundston's Senior Economic Development and Housing Coordinator, Isabelle Laplante.

To take part in the sessions, which will be held via the TEAMS platform, people will need to register. They will then receive an email with a link to the live presentation. Sessions will be held in French with closed captioning directly on TEAMS.

"Housing is a crucial issue, and we believe it's important to use every possible means to enable the public to receive information and ask questions. That's the aim of the new Housing Information sessions, and we hope that people will attend in large numbers," explains Mad. Laplante.
