How it's going?
Since the beginning of the week, teams from the Public Works Department have been working day and night to carry out snow removal operations throughout the territory. The team has completed an initial intervention and will return to certain areas, including Saint-François Street, where a water pipe had to be repaired on February 18. “We are going to focus our efforts on transporting the snow, and we are optimistic that everything will be finished by the end of next week,” explained Gary Cyr, Public Roads Coordinator. “Our teams also work tirelessly to clear snow from the pedestrian network,” concluded Gary Cyr.
How to help us?
Please do not plow or blow snow onto the sidewalks. You can also clear a fire hydrant near you. Generally, the Public Works Department does it, but with all the snow removal that remains to be done, we are asking for your help. This small gesture can make a big difference for our emergency services.
Please respect the no parking by-law (from November to April) on the side of the street at night and be courteous to snowplows; they do a lot of hours of work for you.
We thank you for your cooperation during these snow removal operations.
