Power outages due to strong winds: traffic is closed on Iroquois Road

Nov 8, 2024

Edmundston Energy would like to inform the population that due to the strong winds this afternoon, there are still some power outages in the area. Iroquois Road will have to be closed to traffic for a good part of the evening, in order to repair power lines that have fallen under the weight of trees.

Crews are trying to restore power in the Verret, Iroquois and Madawaska Maliseet First Nation sectors.

Edmundston Energy is trying to resolve everything as quickly as possible.

We thank you for your understanding.
