Garbage and recycling collections return every two weeks as of September 29

During the summer season, garbage (green or black bins) was collected every week, while recyclable items (blue bins) were collected every two weeks.

It is now fall season and starting the week of September 29, the collection of garbage and recyclable items will be done AT THE SAME TIME, every two weeks, in all sectors. Please consult your collections calendar to ensure the week and day of your collections.

Every two weeks, it is very important to place your bins on each side of your entrance, or at least 2 meters apart from each other, openings towards the street, to facilitate the work of the teams who carry out collections.

Please note that the next Household Hazardous Waste collection will be at the old fire station in Saint-Basile, from 9 a.m. to noon, on October 19. The Special Collection (for big items) will be collected during the weeks of October 21st and 28th, depending on your sector. Thanks for waiting the Sunday before the special collection to place your items at the curb. In the meantime, you can always get a TIPPING FEE WAIVER to get rid of those items earlier.
