Survey regarding urban forest management on municipal territory

City of Edmundston’s Public Works Department Green Spaces sector wishes to consult citizens to better understand their opinions regarding trees and forests management on municipal territory.

The results of this consultation will help the Public Works Department make better management decisions regarding municipal trees and woodlands, aligned with the municipal vision, the objectives of the Public Works' Department Green Spaces sectore and the values of the citizens.

“The trees and forests found on municipal territory provide a wide range of benefits to our community. However, we have never consulted the public regarding the management of the municipality's urban trees and forests and we seek to better understand the public's point of view regarding these green infrastructures, on our territory. Public Works Department hopes that the information collected from this survey will help make informed decisions aligned with the values of the municipality and those of the community,” explained Daniel Gautreau, Green Spaces Coordinator for the City of Edmundston.

The survey, located at the bottom of City of Edmundston website home page, as well as Public Works Department's page, will be active from November 9th to the 24th, 2023. Citizens who do not have access to the Internet or who simply wish to respond to the survey by phone can do so by calling 506.739.2103.

Please note that no individual information will be released and only aggregate survey results will be shared with the public.

We thank you in advance for your participation. Invite others around you to do the same!
