Pruning work in Saint-Basile sector to avoid outages due to vegetation

As part of its annual vegetation control program, Edmundston Energy is currently carrying out tree pruning work around the electricity distribution network in the Saint-Basile sector.

This work, slowed down somewhat due to snow removal efforts, will clear power lines and reduce unplanned outages due to vegetation.

“Outages due to vegetation represent approximately 30% of our total outages. It is therefore important to properly control vegetation,” explains Kevin Kilfoil, Coordinator, Transmission and Distribution for Edmundston Energy.
