The Operations Department and the Public Works Department are advising the public that work to install new underground water and sewer infrastructure will begin on a section of Lionel-H.-Lajoie Avenue. This work is expected to begin on Monday, June 9, and be completed by mid-July, weather permitting.
The area targeted by this work extends from the intersection of Mgr-Plourde Avenue to civic numbers 76 and 77 on Lionel-H.-Lajoie Avenue. This work will include the installation of new water, sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure, concrete curbs and gutters, and asphalt paving, which is expected to be completed in August.
Please note that access to the area will be limited during the work. There will be a water service interruption on Tuesday (June 10) or Wednesday (June 11) for some residents of the area. Notices will be distributed to affected residences one day before the interruption. A boil order will also be distributed to certain residents and businesses, if applicable. This information will also be shared on our social media.
During one of these two days, Mgr-Plourde Avenue will be closed between Mgr-Numa-Pichette Boulevard and 22nd Street, except for local traffic.
We ask that you respect the signage and we thank you in advance for your cooperation during this important work.
