Three individuals arrested during a drug related search warrant in Edmundston

On January 21, 2026, the New Brunswick Integrated Law Enforcement Group and the Edmundston Police Force arrested three individuals following the execution of a drug search warrant in Edmundston.

During the operation, a quantity of narcotics, suspected to be methamphetamine in tablet form, drug paraphernalia, and a significant amount of money were seized. Police also discovered several firearms on site, some of which were loaded, modified, and stored unsafely. Furthermore, the possession of some of these firearms is prohibited.

A 54-year-old man, a 52-year-old man, and a 52-year-old woman will face charges related to drug trafficking and weapons possession. As these individuals have not yet been formally charged in court, their names cannot be released at this time. The investigation is ongoing regarding this matter.

The New Brunswick Integrated Law Enforcement Task Force is comprised of members of the RCMP and municipal police services, as well as employees of the provincial Department of Justice and Public Safety. Their efforts are focused on a more coordinated approach to fighting organized crime as well as drug and weapons-related crimes, which are increasingly disturbing in the province.

The Edmundston Police Force reiterates its commitment to fighting drug trafficking and the possession of dangerous weapons by joining efforts to ensure the safety of our community, in collaboration with the public and its law enforcement partners.
