Volunteering

The commitment of our volunteers represents a wealth for our community because it widely contributes to its cultural, economic, sports, social and community development. Hence, the municipality offers present and continuing support to its volunteers because it recognizes that if Edmundston is a pleasant place to live, establish a family or an enterprise, it is largely because of the generosity of its volunteers.

Why become involved in volunteer work? One of the main reasons mentioned by volunteers is that it constitutes an excellent occasion to give. When we become active volunteers, we accept to give part of ourselves, our time, energy, skills, and feelings.

Fortunately, volunteer work is not only a simple charitable gesture; it also allows us to bear the fruit of our generosity. Volunteers also provide their community with an atmosphere that distinguishes itself from other communities and contributes to the development and exceptional quality of life. In other words, when we engage in volunteer work, we eagerly agree to give because we are convinced to receive much more in return. This is the richness of volunteer work.

Not convinced yet? Here are some of the benefits you will receive from volunteer work if you get involved today. Think about it!
