The main goal of the Organizational Support Policy is to recognize the significant contribution of organizations in Edmundston and to support activities and groups that rely on commitment, volunteerism and partnership.
This policity will improve the City of Edmundston's recognition and support efforts and will offer assistance to organizations that are linked to the city's mission and accountability responsibilities and services to the population.
In addition, organizations that will benefit from support will now need to recognize the City's participation and provide an activity report. To this end, this policy is in line with the City's other policies and action plans, in particular its Program for the Future, which aims to improve the living conditions of citizens.
"This policy is a tool that we can apply to the reality of each organization while respecting their mission, their service offer and their clientele. Thanks to the new application form, it allows for an individualized analysis of applications for recognition based on the link between the organization and the City, "says Cyrille Simard, Mayor of Edmundston.
The policy, which applies to all not-for-profit organizations accredited by the City of Edmundston, now defines five different categories of support:
The entire policy is based on the availability of resources.
