Edmundston Energy, in collaboration with the firm Ameresco, will set up a 1 MW micro-grid solar panels project mounted on the roof of its main municipal sports facilities.
The SOLSTICE project has officially started at the Sports Pavilion and the Jean-Daigle Center. This ambitious project aims to install the largest network of rooftop solar panels in the Atlantic.
The name "SOLSTICE" refers to the astronomical phenomenon marking the changes of seasons and the abundance of solar energy. This symbolic link underlines the project's objective of capturing this renewable energy to supply the local community with green electricity.
