realise edmundston public consultation tool

Réalise Edmundston was developed to facilitate exchanges between citizens and the administration regarding development projects on the municipal territory.

The population is invited to participate in innovation laboratories (online or in the form of meetings), by learning about development projects, but above all by getting directly involved in the planning stages.

Public consultation - revision of land use planning by-laws

With this new consultation, the Development Department wishes to take the pulse of the population regarding the revision of the municipal planning by-laws.

We are talking about:

In the context of the amalgamation of new sectors into the municipality, the revision of all by-laws related to the Urban Planning Act is necessary, in order to bring them into line with the provincial framework and to better adapt our land-use planning tools to the current context.

Hard copies are also available at the reception desk of Edmundston City Hall.

These preliminary documents serve to fuel the dialogue between the population and the municipal council on the best ways to frame the development of our municipality and the layout of our private properties.

Further targeted consultations with development stakeholders are also planned until comments are received by Council at the next public meeting on May 21, 2024. The third reading and adoption of the by-laws are scheduled for June 18, 2024, at a regular meeting of the municipal council.
