Fire and safety

There are three stations, one in Saint-Jacques, one that covers downtown Edmundston and Rivière-Verte. The service counts more than sixty permanent and auxiliary firefighters distributed in these fire stations. They are ready to provide assistance to citizens at all times.

Of this number, there are two firefighters as well as an officer on duty 24/7. Throughout the territory, firefighters respond to an average of more than 300 emergency calls each year.
