Fire and safety

There are three stations, one in the Saint-Jacques sector, one that covers downtown Edmundston and the Rivière-Verte sector. The service counts more than sixty permanent and auxiliary firefighters apportioned in these fire stations. They are ready to provide assistance to citizens at all times.

Of this number, there are two firefighters as well as an officer on duty 24/7. Throughout the territory, firefighters respond to an average of more than 500 emergency calls each year.
