From June 24 to 29, 2026, our city will host the 45th Jeux de l'Acadie finals. This is the third time Edmundston will host the finals, after 1997 and 2011. For this occasion, City Council is working hard to ensure that these finals are a resounding success.
First, Ms. Martine Dufour has been appointed president of this 45th finals. Martine has several years of experience with the Jeux de l'Acadie, having served as Chef de Mission for Mad-Vic for over 10 years. The Council also approved a budget specifically targeted towards les Jeux, which will benefit not only the athletes but also the entire population. During the 1997 and 2011 Jeux de l'Acadie, numerous improvements to sports and community infrastructure were made.
This year, improvements to the Sports Pavilion and the track and field are planned for this purpose. As in previous editions, Edmundston welcomed Acadian youth with open arms. Join me as a volunteer during these six days of great festivities jeuxdelacadie.madvic@gmail.com
