
Edmundston City Council consists of the mayor, who is elected by universal suffrage, and three councillors from each of the three electoral wards. There are an average of 4,700 voters per ward.

You can take a look at City Council's MONTHLY EXPENSES which are made public during regular Council meetings each month. In 2012, Edmundston became the first City in New Brunswick to adopt such a practice of proactive disclosure.
A number of committees are mandated to assist City Council in the implementation of the municipal program for the future. These committees are for the most part made up of citizens, elected officials and municipal employees. For information on the committees CLICK HERE.
