Water service interruption

Due to major work on the City of Edmundston's drinking water system, water service will be interrupted on Monday, June 5 and Tuesday, June 6, beginning in the morning and continuing for part of the day.  

On Monday, June 5, water service will be interrupted on René-Bouchard and Aubut streets, Fred-Fournier Avenue and part of du Pouvoir Road, between Carrier and Aubut streets.  

On Tuesday, June 6, the impacted sector will include Morin Avenue, part of Dionne Street, part of Carrier Street and part of Du Pouvoir Road, between Dionne and Aubut streets.  
 

Once water service returns following this interruption, a boil water advisory will be in effect until Monday, June 12 for the entire sector. If the advisory should be maintained beyond June 12, the affected residences will receive an extension notice from the Municipality.  

It is essential that all water intended for human consumption, the preparation of infant formula, juice, and ice cubes, the washing of fruit and vegetables, cooking and dental hygiene be boiled vigorously for one minute. Unless otherwise advised by the Health Department, water used for other domestic purposes does not need to be boiled.
