Annual Watermain Flushing Program

Public Works Department annually carries out cleaning or “flushing” of the main water pipes in a designated area of ​​the municipality. This cleaning is required to maintain water quality.

This year, the watermain flushing program will take place in the Edmundston sector, from Monday June 27th to July 15th, 2022, from Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Each week we will post a map on the Public Works Department webpage showing the streets where crews will be cleaning the pipes. * Note that this data is subject to change, depending on the progress of the work. *

If your sector is identified in this map, you may notice a slight discoloration and a possible drop in water pressure while our teams clean the pipes near your home (Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.).

Your water supply should not be interrupted. If you have no water or no water pressure after a few hours, you can contact Public Works Department at 506 739-2103 or send an email to travaux@edmundston.ca
