Heavy trucks detour

Heavy trucks detour

Edmundston Police Force and NB's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure would like to remind you that heavy trucks CANNOT use Sisson Road or Trois Milles Road for the time being.

Signs prohibiting heavy traffic have been posted along these roads and must be respected to ensure the safety of the population, and to protect the infrastructures weakened by June 29th violent rainstorm.

Heavy trucks can now use Joseph-Morneault Road and Rivière-à-la-Truite Road. It should be noted, however, that the maximum weight that can travel on Rivière-à-la-Truite Road’s one-lane bridge is 43.5 tons.

Trucks that exceed the maximum weight capacity must go through St-Jean-de-la-Lande or the United States.

Please consult City of Edmundston's website and social media for updates. You can also consult NB’s 511 service regarding the condition of provincial roads affected at: https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/departments/dti/highways_roads/content/511.html

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
