The City of Edmundston launches a citizen survey on satisfaction with municipal services

The City of Edmundston, in collaboration with the firm Léger, announces a survey to gather residents’ opinions on the quality of municipal services and their level of satisfaction with their living environment. The survey is open from June 27 to July 26, 2026, at midnight.

A personalized postcard containing a unique access code (PIN) has been mailed to all 9,802 households in the municipality. Residents are invited to complete the online questionnaire by scanning the QR code printed on their invitation card or by visiting https://sv.legeropinion.com/Edmundston2026. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

To ensure a representative sample of the population, only one adult per household may participate. Those who have not received their invitation card, or who do not have Internet access, may visit City Hall, where staff and a tablet will be available to assist them. Paper copies of the survey, along with a prepaid envelope, are also available.

“Public participation is essential to guiding the City’s decisions. This survey will allow us to better understand citizens’ priorities and adjust municipal services accordingly,” said Mychèle Poitras, communications coordinator for the City of Edmundston.

Why participate?

The data collected will inform the discussions among elected officials and city administration regarding the city’s services and priorities, in order to better meet the needs and expectations of the public. The survey covers topics such as snow removal, waste collection, safety, recreation, municipal communications, housing, and climate change.

The confidentiality of responses is guaranteed by the firm Léger: data is aggregated for statistical purposes, and no information that could identify a respondent will be disclosed. As a token of appreciation, participants who wish to do so will have a chance to win one of two $250 gift cards, which will be drawn from among eligible participants.
