Collections are now done mechanically throughout the municipal territory

The Edmundston Public Works Department reminds citizens of the municipality of Edmundston that since our collection contractors all operate trucks with mechanical grabbers, it is VERY IMPORTANT to properly place your bins at the curb. Employees of local contractors no longer get out of their trucks to carry out collections as before. Collections are now done mechanically throughout the municipal territory.

During double collection weeks (garbage and recycling):

• Your bins must ABSOLUTELY be placed on each side of your driveway, or you must leave a distance of at least 2 meters between your bins

During double collection and single collection weeks, therefore AT ALL TIMES:

• Your bins must be far enough away from your residence or other building so that the mechanical grabber can pick them up

• The opening of your bins must face the street, while the handles must point towards your house

• If your bins are not placed correctly, they simply will not be collected
