Martin Perron Appointed Inspector for the Edmundston Police Force

During a special public meeting, the Edmundston City Council approved the appointment of Mr. Martin Perron as Inspector for the Edmundston Police Force. Mr. Perron's appointment is effective immediately. He replaces Mr. Steve Robinson who recently became Chief of the Police Force.

Mr. Perron has been a member of the Edmundston Police Force for 22 years. A graduate in Police Science from the Atlantic Police Academy, Mr. Perron has a solid background and diverse training that will be a considerable asset in his new position. Over the years, Mr. Perron has worked as a patrol officer, an investigator, a court liaison officer and since 2017, as a shift sergeant.

Well known in the community, Mr. Perron has been an assistant coach for the Edmundston Blizzard since 2020 and a volunteer, coordinator and president of the Roch Voisine Celebrity Golf Tournament for the Bob-Fife Foundation since 2010.

"Mr. Perron brings a wealth of professional and educational experience that will benefit the Force. We are confident that he will bring his experience, training and leadership to his new role," said Steve Robinson, Director of the Police Force.
