More than 1000 plush toys collected for local kids

On November 17, the 2nd plush toys game was held at the Jean-Daigle Centre. Organized in collaboration with the Edmundston Police Force and the Blizzard, fans were invited to bring a stuffed animal or plush toy to the game against the West Kent Steamers.

The fans were able to launch the plushies, all at once on the ice, once the signal was given.

In total, 1,075 stuffed animals and plush toys were collected on the ice by the Edmundston Figure Skating Club and members of the Police Force. These will mainly be distributed to children in the community through the Edmundston Police Force's Sharing Tree Campaign. Some will be given to the Knights of Columbus 1932, to accompany their donations for sick kids and to the UMCE AGÉÉ – Education and Kinesiology program, which will distribute to kids who will spend Christmas in the hospital.

Remember that the first plush toys game took place in December 2019, at the Jean-Daigle Centre and that the Edmundston Police Force's Sharing Tree Campaign will hold its annual Christmas ornaments sale on November 28 & 29.

  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday November 28, at the Edmundston police station,
  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday November 29, at the police station, as well as from 6 to 9 p.m., on Court Street, as part of the Great Holiday Spree.

The Police Force thanks the Blizzard organization and everyone who supports this great cause year after year.

Many thanks for your generosity!
