Richard Daigle is the city's new public works director

Edmundston City Council has just approved the appointment of Mr. Richard Daigle as Director of the Public Works Department. He succeeds Paul Dionne who has been in the position since 1998.

Mr. Daigle is a graduate in civil engineering from the Université de Moncton and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of New Brunswick. He gained experience as a coordinator of the water and sewer sector for nearly 13 years. During the last year, he held the position of engineer - infrastructure coordinator where he was able to contribute his operational knowledge of municipal infrastructure, exercise mobilizing leadership within work teams and professionals, as well as complete several files and major projects.

"We are confident that Mr. Daigle will contribute to the future of the Public Works Department. Focused on teamwork and constantly looking for solutions, he knows how to make the most of his collaborators' contributions to achieve objectives," explained Marc Michaud, Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Edmundston.

Richard Daigle will take office on February 7.
